In the interview, Christoph Klein, founder & managing partner of ESG Portfolio Management and an advisor to Syenah, discussed the impact of far-right political parties on climate policies and highlighted Syenah’s innovative use of artificial intelligence in screening news items and insights from NGOs to detect incidents and controversies worldwide.
Klein commented on the complexities of current EU climate policies, stating that “the risk is that the EU Green Deal could be weakened substantially. We are already behind the curve on our emissions reduction targets”. He emphasised the importance of focusing on the effectiveness of policies that he said were overly complex, and of showing companies that solutions are available to assist with complaince.
