On 8 October 2024, we were invited to exhibit at the ESG Forum at Goethe University in Frankfurt, under the theme “Think sustainably, act sustainably, shape the transformation.” This vibrant city is not only Syenah’s home base but also a leading global financial hub, playing a key role in the development of our innovative ESG risk intelligence platform, ESG-Sentinel. Our platform empowers both corporates and financial institutions to effectively navigate the evolving landscape of ESG regulatory compliance and sustainability objectives.
Christoph Klein, our award-winning ESG advisor and founder of ESG Portfolio Management, along with Ali Mirzaei, our Tech Lead, engaged with attendees to discuss the capabilities of ESG-Sentinel, our Gen AI-powered ESG incident detection and analysis platform. Christoph shared that:
“The ESG Forum was an excellent opportunity to highlight how ESG-Sentinel is an effective tool for meeting the requirements of the Supply Chain Law (Lieferkettensorgfaltsgesetz – LkSG) and the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. Those we spoke with were interested in learning about the quality of our ESG incident detection software and our wide range of information sources. In particular, attendees mentioned how useful they found ESG-Sentinel’s ability to customise risk-weighting factors to better fit their specific needs.”
Syenah’s participation was part of an exhibition highlighting startups dedicated to driving sustainable change in alignment with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event provided us with valuable opportunities to connect and share insights with fellow innovators. Additionally, many startups competed for the Impact Startup Award, which recognises solutions that can make a significant difference in addressing global challenges.
The ESG Forum featured an impressive lineup of speakers who tackled essential topics, such as the integration of sustainability into business strategies, the important role of biodiversity in securing a sustainable future, and how companies can navigate regulatory pressures while promoting responsible practices. Notable speakers included Markus Münster, Manager at KPMG Lighthouse, and Dr. Thimo Stoll, Partner at KPMG AG, who explored the future of sustainability, highlighting how artificial intelligence can help organisations optimise resource use, accelerate innovation cycles, and facilitate informed decision-making. Dr. Dirk Voeste, Chief Sustainability Officer at Volkswagen Group, discussed the evolving landscape of sustainability issues and their significance for the green transformation of the German economy, emphasising the need for collaborative efforts among stakeholders to drive meaningful change and achieve long-term sustainability goals.
Here at Syenah, we are proud to be tackling some of these key issues, enabling informed decision-making, and supporting organisations in their journey toward sustainable transformation. Some key features offered by ESG-Sentinel include:
